Meet The Team At NewPath

Josh and Charity Birkey

Pastor and his wife and their family.

NewPath Church was planted in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, by Josh and Charity Birkey with a desire to help people find a new path in Christ and grow in Him.

After 13 years of serving in youth ministry in Chattanooga and Nashville, God led Josh and Charity to plant NewPath. Today, they are excited to see God build a church centered on Christ, the Gospel, community, generosity, and life change.

In 2013, God placed church planting on their hearts. They continued to pray, trusting that He would open the door in His timing.

In 2017, God opened the door for Josh to serve as a student pastor in Nashville. After six months, their two-year-old son, Alec, passed away suddenly. They knew God had led them to Nashville for a reason.

With church planting still on their hearts, they continued to pray. God eventually opened the door to start NewPath Church in Murfreesboro. They are grateful for what He has done and excited to see what He will do next.
