Meet the Team

Josh and Charity Birkey

Josh and Charity have spent the last 13 years serving as youth pastors in Chattanooga and Nashville TN and now are excited to start NewPath in Murfreesboro. Here is their story…

In 2013, God placed a burden on their hearts to church plant, not knowing the time or location. They continued to pray knowing God would open the door when it was His timing. God closed all the doors to start a church. 

In 2017, God opened the door for them to be a student pastor in Nashville, TN. After 6 months of serving at the church, their 2 year old son (Alec) passed away suddenly. They knew God led them to Nashville for a reason. 

With church planting still on their hearts, they continued to pray. And after being a in ministry for 13 years, God opened the door to start a church in the largest suburb of Nashville, Murfreesboro, TN. Their dreams are now becoming reality and they are excited to see what God is going to do!
